Tickets can be purchased directly via the Ossewa Trail website.

The Ossewa trail is a two-day event, you will need to run both days of the event.

We encourage participants to register in advance to secure their spot as limited tickets are available. Register early to avoid disappointment!
The minimum age requirements for participation is 18.
REFUNDS + TICKET TRANSFERS
Refunds will be made as per the following:
90% refund until 30 November 2025
50% refund until 25 January 2026
– Refund fee: R200
– No refunds will be made after 25 January 2026.

Yes, but please let us know. There is a “ticket transfer” process to follow to ensure the correct details are captured before registration.

Depending on the payment method and processing platform, there may be non-refundable fees associated with ticket purchases, such as transaction fees or processing fees. These fees are typically outlined during the registration process and may be deducted from the refund amount.
TRAIL DETAILS
The trails vary in difficulty to accommodate participants of different skill levels. View our trail details under the route details.
Yes, we have strategically placed water stations stocked with water, sports drinks, light snacks, and basic first aid supplies. These stations provide support and assistance to participants throughout the trail.
In the event of a medical emergency on the trail, we have trained medical personnel stationed at various points along the course.
If you encounter a medical issue or witness someone in distress, please alert the nearest event volunteer or aid station personnel immediately. They are equipped to assess the situation, provide first aid, and coordinate further assistance if needed. Additionally, we recommend carrying a cell phone with you during the run in case you need to call for help.
Please familiarize yourself with the trail maps and aid station locations before starting your run to ensure prompt access to medical assistance if required.
Safety is our top priority, and we encourage participants to familiarize themselves with trail etiquette and safety guidelines before embarking on their run. This includes respecting other trail users, staying hydrated, being mindful of wildlife, not littering, and following any event-specific rules and regulations.

RACE VILLAGE
Our race village is situated on a polo field.
Need to freshen up after your run? No worries, we’ve got ablution facilities 200m from the tents, complete with separate toilets and showers. For those midnight emergencies, we’ve got portable toilets conveniently placed closer to the tents.
Our chill zones are strategically located around the dam, perfect for soaking in the surroundings.
Cash bar available please support the Tugela Round table team while you’re at it.
Don’t forget to snag some cool merch at our shop and treat yourself to a massage at our stations.
Live bands in the big marquee. And for all your charging needs, we’ve got you covered with charging stations.
Dive into the delicious offerings at our food stalls.

REGISTRATION
Registration will be held at the Race Village at Buffalo Hills Private Game Reserve.
Registration will open:
Friday, 10 April ’26: from 15:00 – 20:00.
If you are coming up early Saturday you can register from 6:00am.
You will receive your race packs, tent numbers and your village band. Dinner will be available to all runners after registration.
Race Briefing Day 1: Friday night at 19:00

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
A two-person canvas tent (2.1m x 2.1m) with a comfortable mattress will be set up for each runner (this is included in the ticket price). Each participant to please bring their own pillow and sleeping bag. You do not need to bring your own tent. Please note that spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
